I think this right here is the crux of the entire disagreement on this
matter. Something that drives someone else nuts, you don't worry
about. The things that drive you nuts in Lauren posting style don't
worry me.
I guess the whole issue is the definition of "readability" and that is
different for each of us. In fact, I don't disagree with anything you
have said at all. The only thing I disagree with was whether or not
Laurens post was bad enough to warrant a take down about it. I don't
think it was, you do. That's the end of that, lol.
I also appreciate the effort that you make to assure your posts are
clear and readable. I also understand why you would be irritated that
someone else doesn't make the same effort. But, isn't that attitude a
little like the "people should pull themselves up by their bootstraps
and live without assistance because I did" attitude a certain
political party is often berated for? I guess it is human nature to
measure someone else's efforts against our own, but I don't know that
it is always best to do so.
Anyway, the point is that we don't disagree overall, we just disagree
about the readability of this particular post/poster.

That isn't necessarily true. It is spoken in professional settings all
of the time if both parties speak it. I've also had it spoken to me in
professional settings though I am nowhere near proficient. I have
enough Spanish to barely get by, which is a shame since I grew up
here. Sometimes I can tell what is being said, most times not. When I
don't understand I definitely ask them to repeat it in English. So,
again, I do not disagree that it is ok and proper to ask someone to
communicate in a way you can understand. But I still think a little
bit of leeway has to occur on the side of both parties.
Thank you for discussing this with me, Hal, and not getting upset that
I disagreed with you. :-)
