Uh-oh, Dennis!! An answer like that'll get you posted on the "IBOA
Most Wanted List" with ME!!! LOL!!!!

Seriously - you gave good answers to LF's questions.

I just want to add, for everyone's benefit: yes, we made a lot of
money from selling Amway products. I offered the kind of income we
made to point out that we were a HUGE organization.

What are the chances that someone today, can sign up, and build the
same kind of network that we had???? nada, nil, zippo - ZERO.

First of all, it was part dumb luck that my Grandfather signed some
folks who took business-building seriously (although he/we supported
them every way possible). Secondly, the vast majority was built in a
day and age when door-to-door retailing was an acceptable form of
marketing. Thirdly, Amway had a GOOD name - and they were unique in
offering "bio-degradable" products that were NOT found on any stores'
shelves. And fourth - the internet, with its wealth of information,
both good and bad; and products sold cheaply (you want cheap Amway
products?? Try ebay) did not exist back then.

Today, if you are charismatic enough to overcome the "Amway/Quixtar
Stigma"; and work diligently at it, you can probably build a nice
little organization that will bring you a few hundred dollars a month;
and once it's in place, requires very little effort to maintain. The
minute you join an AMO and start listening to the hype and "dreams" -
you are doomed.

And if you're charismatic and hardworking enough to build a successful
little Amway business; you'd probably be successful (and more so?) in
whatever endeavor you pursued, anyway.
