To continue the car dealer analogy:

"Stacking" (as taught by TEAM) would be like the dealership's owner
offering you a sales job; and telling you to just sell pickup trucks.
You are not allowed to sell sedans, even if they have a higher
commission or added "spiffs". When the SUVs are part of a national ad
campaign and everybody wants one, you still have to sell pickups.

Your "ups" (walk-in customers) grow angry with you because you point
them at pickups, when they really wanted a convertible.

And then later, when you can't pay the light bill because of your
meager income, the Boss gives you a heartwarming speech about being
part of an amazing team, and sells you a book about Lee Iacocca.
